What I've been up to..

My poor little neglected blog! I have missed a few posts so it's time to play a little catch-up as I'm several weeks behind.

I went salsa dancing a few weeks ago with all my peeps at the Gold Coast Casino. It was $10 cover with one free drink. I had only been once before about 5 years before and haven't done any real salsa-ing. I certainly don't have a dance background of any kind. We had a mini zumba class style moment on the dance floor and a few of my friends are dancers so they spread the dancing love around.  I actually got asked to dance by a few random guys there. One was a older gentlemen of the grandpa variety but he could salsa up a storm.  We danced for a few songs and had a great time with him telling me how to drop and fall backwards lifting one leg while he caught me under the arms.

The other guy who asked me to dance was a short little dude who also was very good. He wore these lovely white wide leg trousers which seemed very Cuban to me.  He was very much into spinning and spinning and then a little more spinning. It was a lot of fun but the first dance we had I was quite dizzy when I made it back to my friends. It was such a blast and I would certainly go back.

I did have some great fun on super bowl Sunday since the tiger and I joined some of my cardio crew to have a party and watch the big game. I don't care much about football but the party was awesome. The tiger FINALLY came with me. I guess an activity that involves TV was a good choice even if he isn't a football guy.  He had a good time too and now at least can know who I'm going out with and working out with. My friends made him feel very welcome and it was awesome of them :)



 Other than my salsa and super bowl activities I've mostly been working out all the time. This week I'm missing Snoflake dog! She is spending the week in SG and I'm spending multiple hours at night in the gym.  That mean scale is always creeping so I have to keep it in check.  Don't ya'all wish the camera took off 15 instead of the other way around?! It's terribly frustrating with the amount of working out I do. Gotta keep working always.
